I’m so excited to be going on vacay with my fam for most of June! We left June 2 and I wanted to share a few habits I’m focusing on over the trip. It’s much more difficult to establish routines while traveling as every day may look different, but I know that continuing a few simple habits will be beneficial to my mood and overall state. Most importantly, I want to be able to fully enjoy the trip and be present when I’m with my family. Here’s what I’m focusing on to keep some sense of routine while traveling.
Movement

Obviously every day is different on vacation and I don’t even know that I’ll have access to a gym. I know we’ll be doing some hiking but I still want to start my day with movement when possible. I wrote down a few stretches and exercises I’m planning to do in the morning or I’ll do a short yoga practice. YouTube has great yoga videos of all lengths.
Gratitude + Journaling

I’ve been out of my journaling routine and am so excited to get back into it. I just ordered a new journal and love it so far. I did my whole setup on the plane and then have been doing morning pages since then. When I have time I also want to work on restructuring my goals for the summer. I’m currently using a Leuchtturm 1917 Hardcover notebook in the color Sand.
Reading

I’ve also been reading pretty often on the plane and before bed. I love to read and am lucky to finally have time for it now that I’m on summer break. I used Hoopla through my local library to download books in advance. I usually lean toward thrillers and otherwise I’ll read nonfiction. I just finished The Glass House which I loved.
Taking a Multivitamin

I haven’t been taking any supplements recently but now seems like the best time to get back into it. I found the new chapter women’s multi on sale at whole foods before we left. Side note I’ve also been taking electrolytes when I’m feeling low energy to increase my hydration.
Hope these habits give you some ideas of how you can incorporate beneficial practices into your travels! I’m hoping to do a couple posts about our trip now that I’m back 🙂
